Mason’S Day Out

ಇವತ್ತಿನ ವಿಜಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮೊದಲ ಪುಟದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೈಸೂರು ಜೂನ 'ಮೇಸನ್' ಎಂಬ ಚಿಂಪಾಜಿ ಆವರಣದಿಂದ ಆಚೆ ಬಂದು ಧಾಂದಲೆ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಓದಿರಬಹುದು. ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮೈಸೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವ ನಮಗೂ ಹಲ್ಲು ಕಿರಿದು ಪೋಸು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ.

Today(30/Jul/2006)'s Vijaya Karnataka carried a front page news item on a chimpanzee named Mason belonging to Mysore Zoo breaking out of his enclosure in and wandering around in the zoo.

I think he must have wanted his day out in the open, especially after having been teased all the time.

He was quite an animated guy when I saw him last time(3 weeks back). More power to you Mason!
